Pours a clean golden color with a medium sized, froth white head, which soon collapses to a thin layer of lacing. Smells pretty sweet, straw and cake malts lead the way, complimented by some hay and a white bread dough note. Has a well nuanced, tingling carbonation which does not prevent the beer from producing an intriguing smoothness. Tastes of straw, wheat, less sweeter than the nose indicated, accompanied by whole grain bread, fresh herbs and a pungent tartness. The tarness comes out of nowhere, distracts successfully from the maltiness, benefitting from a well pronounced hop coating. That leaves the tongue with a herbal dryness and late breadiness. Very different on the palate than on the nose, due to the beers most distinct feature, its powerfull tartness. Not sure if this is supposed to be in here, it does create a nice interplay with the hops though, which then hinders the malts from becoming as sweet as they are on the nose.

Bottle 0.5l at home Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Taste with adamnowek, Alexei, Melanie and Jeca. 14.01.2017. Pour it clear golden color with medium white head. Aroma straw, grains, some grassy note. Taste crispy, creamy texture, some malts on the back, not so fresh bottle maybe, but ok decent, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, average carbonation.

In perfect condition at Dno Pytle, Prague. Served in a stein, but let’s assume it was hazy golden. Nice, creamy and lasting white head. Malty aroma with bread crust character, a touch of herbal hops and a faint mineral note. Sweet malty and herbal hoppy flavour
