Bottle at home. Golden in colour as promised. Smoky, vanilla-like aroma. Taste: sweet to start then a little bitterness. More smokiness which is quite subtle, woody and fruity. Dry finish. Unusual but quite pleasant. BlackHaddock (7574) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2014
500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD Feb 2015, drank at a party on 7th June 2014. Golden, light and clear with a full white crown. Subdued nose and flavours, mild hoppiness over a mini malt base. Not too sure about this beer, didn’t notice the alcohol, so there must be some body within the make up, but I failed to find any flavours worthy of note. rarbring (2295) - Linköping, SWEDEN - MAY 28, 2014

Bottle from Branthill Farm Real Ale Shop, Norfolk. Hazy, pale gold. LOts of carbonation provides a thick, white, persistent head. Aroma is mineral, light lemon, red fruit, some orange zest. Some sweet malt. Taste is zesty dry. Overripe orange, at the end. Light oily palate. Long, dry, slightly spicy finish. Very nice. Brigadier (3725) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2013

A decent golden ale is mostly on the mark. A slightly above average example of the style is worth checking out if you see it on cask in the Birmingham area. I would probably give it another look after exhausting most of the new selections.
Aroma / Appearance - The semitransparent golden base is soft and gentle. Lemon slices spread over white bread with a bite of mild hops create a coherent and light profile.
Flavor / Palate - Lemons and a blast of grapefruit hit the palate with the sweet taste of a glass of lemonade. Orange polish appears in the finish. In the transition between the two is a mild peppery texture. This is a decent all around beer that surpasses most of the run of the mill golden ales on cask.
50cl bottle thanks to Nustu. Pours a hazy golden with a nice head. The nose has pine and a hint of custard. The taste has a nice green note, so limes but primarily a flowerpot taste. The palate has a light to medium bodied and textured with a nice clean finish. Overall, a well balanced ale. maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Kings Head Norwich 21/08/12. A straw coloured beer with a white head and lacing. Perfumed and herbal notes throughout which make it a bit sickly. A decent body and an odd residual smokiness. Syrupy fruitiness. Not really my thing. JohnRMurdoch (4999) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUN 16, 2012
Bottle from Nina’s Mini Market. Thanks mr_h. Hazy golden amber brown golour, good head. Resin, glycol & tropical fruit aroma. Biscuit, grain & resin flavour. Citrus aftertaste. Unbalanced. mr_h (5841) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JUN 16, 2012
