Bottle. No head. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is notes of honey, alcohol (somewhat fusel), eucalyptus, spruce, rubber. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium body, syrupy/watery texture, no carbonation, heavily alcoholic. Kind of weird in that I don’t get any actual bergamot scent from this (I used to love Earl Grey tea, although I only drink unadulterated Darjeeling anymore)’s more medicinal smelling than anything, and a bit rubbery and fusel too. Overly sweet in the mouth...not as harsh as the coffee mead, but still very hard to drink (even for a mead, yes). Drinkable but barely...not very pleasant to be quite honest.

Bottle. Pours almost clear pale amber. Semi sweet aroma with a slight chemical spicy touch. Flavor is sweet chemical astringent honey.

Taster at Scrumpy’s. Appearance: honey yellow and clear. Aroma: slight notes of honey, primarily spices, earl gray to be exact. Palate: same coating honey texture, with a bit more spice on the tongue. Taste: overwhelmingly like earl grey, sweet honey is just the background. Overall, this was my least favorite of the sampler we got, but I guess I am just not the biggest Earl Gray fan.

Bottle @ Scrumpys Fort Collins. Pours a Clear light yellow appearance with no head. Very herbal, floral, dandelion, tea aroma. A bit goopy, quite sweet, tea, vanilla flavor. Drinkable but not my favorite.

onceblind (11084) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 25, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 Clear light golden. Smells like a mug of lightly steeped earl grey tea with a touch of honey sweetness. Flavor has a much more pronounced honey tone with a pleasing follow through of earl grey tea, with no bitterness. Sticky feel but not too sweet. Would be perfect warmed up when you’re home and sick.
