rauchbier (3934) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2017
Bottle conditioned, from Clovelly Gift shop. Red brown, thick and long lasting tight white head and gentle condition. Sweet yeast and berry fruit notes in the nose, quite soft in the mouth with a slightly chalky yeastiness, and some muted berry skin notes, finish is slight and has a muted bitterness. Undemanding and lacking in depth but drinkable nonetheless.

Caramel flavours joined by dough and mid-sweet citrus. Leafy hops towards the ending. Medium bodied. Went well with the English breakfast (Plymouth 24.09.2016).
