On tap at Café Abseits, pours a clear, dark orange/amber with some creamy, white head. Nose is mild, some flower notes, a grainy/rye note, some yeast, a little nickel. Amber color. Malty, some vegetal off-notes, roasted scent, lacking some hop character. Malty, a bit herbal hoppy, small focus on malt taste, nice hop character though. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

On draught at Eckerts / Hotel Nepomuk in Bamberg. Served at 12 C. Love at first bite. Maybe it was the temperature that allowed so many flavours to be unlocked at once. I had it bottled at JoeinDalhem’s home a couple of days earlier at fridge temperature and it did very little for me though it got better with the passage of (warming) time. Pours quite clean dark gold with nice white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Malty, DMS, bready, caramel nose. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is malty, biscuits, little caramel. Sweet aftertaste. Enjoyable.
