Bottle.Yellow with a small head.Slightly cardboard like flavour. A bit tinny
and left no lacing. This is what gives lager a bad name. To be avoided. rauchbier (3882) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2002
Good head and condition, malty nose with low level of hop aroma. Hops in the mouth becoming slightly ironlike towards the end , and a hop bitter finish with a strange aftertaste. Jonb5 (545) - Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2012
Pint, pale golden colour, clear, 1 finger head. Malty grassy aroma with notes of german style hops. Fairly malty taste, a bit grassy, finish slightly grainy. Crisp mouthfull, well carbonated. Overall refreshing lager, not bad or outstanding. leaparsons (10504) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2004
Bright gold and a bit flat looking. Aromas are grain with zesty lemon. Flavours are citrus, grain and quite crisp. Some soft malts, too. A pretty dry finish - quite a decent lager. JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2005
Bottle. Golden with a short lived white head. Malt with some hops in the aroma. Tastes OK.

Keg at the Globe Inn, Hythe, Kent. Straw colour with a thin ring of white head, but highly carbonated with big bubbles; a fresh aroma of grassy hops; crisp with sweetish malt flavours balanced by a sharp bitterness, quite prickly mouth feel. In the end the sweetness wins over the bitterness leaving an unsatisfactory finish. It’s hard to place the style, it’s similar to Stella in some ways, and 1664 in others. Not a bad lager, but I would not go out of my way to find it. Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2003
[Draught, London] A quite nice lager. Very malty aroma and flavour. Some bitterness in the finish. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2006
Clear golden coloured and hoppy. Slightly dry malt finish. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2008
Shep’s bottle. Gold colour. Quite a foxy malt aroma. Taste has some malt, biscuit and a pleasant citric tang. Not very bitter, but it has a bit more character than most pale lagers. thill25 (232) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 7, 2011
50 cl bottle...Pours a clear golden yellow, slight white head with moderate retention...bready, malty, and a little yeasty on the nose...slightly sweet with a bit a a bitter bite for balance...light bodied with average carbonation...generic, but not awful.
