Intense orange-gold with a way-cool label. Buttery, fruity, hoppy aroma. Fruity and medium-hopped. Smooth, mouthy palate, and the hops hang around. PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 26, 2003
Pleasantly surprised - reminds me of a Sam Adams. Fresh, hoppy and spicy aroma. Deep dark orange pour with a good solid head that dissipates pretty quickly. Flavor is good balance of malts and hop. Finished strong - excellent mouthfeel. Best of Hurricane thus far - two more to go.

From old tasting notes. Brassy gold color. Creamy white head. Robust malty foretaste.mnice spicy hop finish. Decent flavor and balance. wilkie (1208) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2003
Fairly hoppy nose. The label says that the style is a pilsener, but this kind of hop presence is not something I associate with pilseners. Golden colored--slightly darker than gold. Grapefruit in aroma. Hoppy flavor, tastes a lot like Sam Adams. Crisp finish. Overall pretty good. TheRimmer (483) - Florida, USA - JUL 18, 2004
Interesting nose of bready malts and spice, maybe hops. fairly good taste. body was helthy and tasted pretty cereal like. clean finish. the aroma is probably the best part.

OK. Very light toasty and sweet maltiness and some mild spicy hoppiness. Not bad, just not worth searching for. Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2002
A pleasing middle-of-the-road lager, marred only by some sort of plasticky phenolic note on the aroma; kind of like drinking Staropramen near a brand-new shower curtain. Loses all its aroma points for that... If I have a chance to try it again, I’ll see if I got a bad one, because it showed potential. Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - JUL 28, 2004
One of the better of this very medocre brewer. Has a hoppy nose and bettter than BMC mouth feel. Ringo (963) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2002
Nothing special. The first beer that I can remember being brewed in Miami when I lived there. I looked forward to its appearance but was mildly disappointed with the end result.
