Pale gold and clear with a slowly-dissipating meringue head. Spicy grapefruit nose. Light mouthfeel with light carbonation, followed by a mild, grapefruit finish.

[email protected], Stockholm (old backlog, 2011/12ish). Copper colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is slightly smoked wet wooden notes along with mild spruce, herbs, citrus and some bready malts. Flavour is rather similar, but slightly more herbal and earthy.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a slight, white cream head. Mild saison yeast in the nose, some hay, lemon zest. Light-medium sweet flavour with some subtly doughy wheat, a little bitter hay, grain husk, lemon and tangerine, faint bubblegum. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, with further husky grain, wheat bread, yeast, lemon peel, hay. Good saison.

JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 20, 2015
Pale golden pour with a thin white head. Spicy/fruity nose. The classic Belgian yeast flavour. Lightly peachy with a bit of fruit and some sweet malt character. Apple and pear. Okay. More Belgian Ale than saison.

missed this last year so i was happy to see this on draft at the brewery .. . dark yellow gold .. small pillows of head (because a head needs a pillow?) .. . solid bitterness, slight hay sweetness and a good dose of saison yeast .. . a crushable albeit simplified saison . .. . . he’s a plumber so he plums.....

TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Draft on tap at the brewery (New Orleans, LA). Pours a deeper darker well hazed amber hue, a bit of old gold with frothy offwhite head atop, firmer layer sticks atop and laces well enough. Aromas are fruity and a bit spicy, nice Belgian yeast bite with some apple, pear and gentle banana wafting in. Cereal grains, fruit, spice, bread dough. Gentle vanilla, fresh harvested apples, and touches of citrus meet that spiciness. Initial is fruity, a lighter end of medium body with gentle with apple, banana, gentle cool vanilla and clove. Some bread dough, faint bubblegum and yeastiness. Cool, a bit sweet and grainy. Some more fruit, that bubblegum bite into the middle. Gentle spice, dryness, a bit of earth hits the backend. Some applesauce, banana still linger out with that gentle spice, flaked wheat and bready malts. A bit dry, spicy as we finish and lingering on. Solid, a bit sweeter than I enjoy.
