Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, - DEC 26, 2012
0,5 l bottle. Slightly hazy reddish brown color. Sweet worty and honeyish aroma with some fruitiness. Worty toffeish flavor . Full body, tannins in the palate, not so drinkable. Very worty, not my kind of beer.

Zlotta (4158) - Hagen, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2018
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle, best before June 2018. Slightly hazy, dark amber with a frothy, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, nuts and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, bread crust, nuts and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

Koelschtrinker (22090) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JAN 13, 2018
Dunkler, herb-röstiger Antrunk. Trocken, geringe Würzigkeit, süffig, eher monoton. Leicht steigende Röstigkeit, kurzer Nachhall. Okay. 7/9/7/8/9/8

Dedollewaitor (16545) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 17, 2017

MrOrla (3693) - Odense C, DENMARK - APR 12, 2017
Bottle. Pours deep amber with a white haed. Aroma of dried furits, slight grainy, light bready, hayish, mineralish feel. Taste is rather bitter, quite alot of dried fruits, slight grains/hay, caramel, a bit dusty.

bierkoning (13821) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 23, 2016
Bottle. Brown color. Malty, soft floral notes and a hint of caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet, soft floral flavor. Licorice. Not really a zoigl but certainly drinkable.

Mariusz (12304) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - JAN 23, 2016
Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours a mahogany color. Smooth but crispy flavour with a smoothy damping palate

TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - DEC 15, 2015
Fresh bottle. Burnt orange. Broken foam forms a puffy collar. Average nose of fennel seed, nutty yeast, honeyed biscuit, earthy malt, and unwelcome notes of cola and caramel chews. Seltzery, highly active carbonation. Very basic blend of caramelly and papery malt is met by deeper and crisper Munich and a dash of peppery hops. Comes off as fairly soulless, especially for the style, as there’s no sulfur or strong mineral presence. Pils malt reveals some deep hay dust and even hints at poundcakey melanoidins at times, but the papery aspects keep the richness from taking foothold. Although the finish is very wet, a salvaging toastiness and nutty pecan characteristic emerges alongside pictachiolike yeastiness. Doesn’t come across as being totally fraudulent like 99% of other bottled zoigls, as there is some malt sophistication here. But in the end, the feisty carbonation and straightforwardness makes it pretty unmemorable.

3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 13, 2014
Bottle from the brewery best by April 2015. Clear dark brown with a fine tan colored head. Nutty, malty nose shows faint signs of oxidation as copper pennies and cardboard. Little to no aroma hops though bittering are evident. Rich and chewy body, semi-sweet with caramel and cola maltiness and peppery finishing hops. The richness is nice, carbonation adequately froths to fullness washing away cara malt sugar and leaving nutty oils in the mouth. Decent texture and flavor balance but the nose isn’t very expressive. Doesn’t align well with the common character of Zoiglbier, seems more of a basic Dunkel.

ThirstyBird (3020) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2014
Thanks to erzengel for the bottle!! Pours a clear amber/browb with a fizzy tan head. The smell is earthy toasted malt, mild fruit. The taste is brown sugar, toasted malt, mild herb - quite sweet. Light+ in body with stickiness and mild carbonation. A bit too sweet for me.

jaghana (6367) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 8, 2014
Bottle 50cl from Stefan thanks, nose is on caramel. Aroma is on cereals with caramel and toasted grain, good grassy bitterness, finish has light sour touch, interesting beer, tasty.
