33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy orange to yellow with a white creamy head. Wheaty aroma. Flavour is not that wheaty but has a creamy texture and is a bit like a belgian witbier, mild and mellow with a slight spiced note (very minor). Caramelish and hoppy into the finish. Nice. prpplague (247) - Euless, Texas, USA - JUN 9, 2006
yellowish murky cloudy. the aroma has citrus hint but is very bla. flavor is tangy, with a less than balanced hoppy finish. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2006
(bottle) Hazy and murky golden coloured body with many yeast floaties and a small foamy layer. Yeasty and sweet malty aroma with citrus peel and dense note of glue. Bittersweet flavour, medium body, moderate carbonation. Initially sweetbitter malty taste, yeasty with a touch of caramel, sweet malty and slightly hopped finish. Really exotic brew (Dutch-Bavarian joint-venture), but not very convincing. davidflores99 (225) - Signal HIll, California, USA - JAN 3, 2006
Had this while I was in Hengelo. This was a pretty regular beer, nothing special for me but I wouldnt mind drinking this some more as it was pretty smooth. Lubiere (13911) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 11, 2005
golden lager with german hops and chlaky notes. Sweet malt with nice crisp character, good german hops and some honey. Not bad. May 1,2005 at 2nd KBC Festival, Den Bosch, NL.

Bottled. Sweet and grassy hop aroma. Sweetish, low to medium maltiness and quite sweet in taste. A tad too sweet, and it doesn´t taste, look, or smell like a landbier at all, but is rather pretty similiar to a helles. Average. Thanks to bierkoning for this. Draught Clear dark gold; white head, leaving some lace. Green leaves smell, as from Buxus or Ligustrum , some grain too. Dry grains taste, with a pinch of caramel, sweetish and a spicey, peppery finish. Excellent balance! Medium at best, but the alcohol is there. This is rather remarkable. Where they went to fetch this Bavarian brewery is anybody’s guess, but it made no small difference, IMO. Hunsell (403) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 5, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2005 Very average beer. Golden coured, hazy appearance. Pineapples, some hops, easy drinkable. The body is slightly thin
Rerate: On tap. SO much more interesting than the bottled version. Starts off bitter and ends sweet for the change. Good full mouthfeel. German characteristics, which isn’t strange because it’s currently brewed in Bavaria. HermanW (1069) - Coevorden, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2004
Too much an alcoholic taste. For the rest it is a very soft sweet beer. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2003
UPDATED: APR 30, 2005 re-rate: Bottled. Sweet malts and light dusty aroma. Yellow color, white head, good lace. Sweet, light sourness, medium bitter to pretty bitter in the finish, light fruity, tangerine, perfume, metallic bitter, little sticky. 15/12/2003, 2.3: Dusty pineapple aroma. Hazy golden color, small white head, fair lace. Sweet, pineapple, hopbitter, thin, little burning sensation, totally unbalanced.
