Dark brown colour, beige head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, hint of raisins. Sweet malty flavour, wort, light roasted malts bitterness. Decent.

Black coloration or on the dark side of a porter. Soft mouthfeel and a full body. A decent take on the style.

Very good Winterbok with an incredible nuance in aroma. Some hops, some caramel and some fruits. Pours a nice brown glass and overall a special Doppelbock.

Nice brown color. Smell little wort, light hints of earth, coffee and roasty. Pleasant taste, nice for a winterbok.

Pretty complex taste. Kind of sweet but not overwhelming sugary. Nice appearance, great body. Colour is lovely.

Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 25, 2011
Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. Ruby appearane. Huge mountainous head. Enormous reminiscence of mulled wine in the nose. Plums, pears, christmas cake from my grandma, walnuts and jam tarts appearing too. Apples sneaking in late. Very interesting. Full bodied. Great head retention. Nutmeg and pear are most present in the finsh. Extremely interesting. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!

maupie (1098) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - JAN 13, 2010
After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained not much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear dark brown color and a aqueous taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a very malty touch. This beer smells malty.

thewolf (12635) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 10, 2009
Tap @ The Dutch Bockbier Festival, 2009.
Pours nice clear chestnut with a big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light chocolate, brewing cereal. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, light metal, caramel, raisins, soft chocolate, light cocoa and some coffee in the finish.
