Hardly any smell and it looks like a bok, so nothing special about that. But its nice and warming and very tasteful. Hints of coffee and darkred fruit, lot of winter tastes. Also heavy.

JorisPPattyn (9913) - Ursel, BELGIUM - NOV 30, 2008
Medium, but dense beige head over near-black beer with accajou shine. Rather rich caramel & malt nose, dry dark malts, maltbread. Point of vomit (sorry), and green leaves. Dry roasted and slightly bitterish malts. Completely a Dunkler Bock German style - and not a bad one, at that. Bread, and a very slight oxydation. Very slick, medium to well-bodied, porridge-like texture. Not a bad Bock, paying tribute to its German origins.
