Very good Winterbok with an incredible nuance in aroma. Some hops, some caramel and some fruits. Pours a nice brown glass and overall a special Doppelbock. sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 13, 2012
At Pint Winterfest 2012. Poured ruby red - brown, thick tan head. Vinous aroma with some dark fruit and malt. Medium to full body, flavour of dark fruit, plums and raisin, some caramel malt. Bitter sweet finish. Nice stuff.

Bottle 300 ml at home, poured into a snifter. ABV 7.5%
Light mahogany brown colour on the body, with one finger of light beige head.
Low retention, light lacing on the glass.
Aroma is fruity, bubblegum, unripe bananas, alcohol notes. Very nice and appealing.
Taste is also fruity, especially on the aftertaste. Bubblegum, grapes. Again some alcohol notes. Begins with a touch of acidity and turns to
very bitter, with a long duration.
Medium thin body, good and soft carbonation. Very dry on the palate.
Overall a nice and pleasant surprise. Maybe not exactly following the styles guidelines but
this bitterness is always welcomed. Really good. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 17, 2003
Nice chocolat but a bit faint aroma. Ruby color, thick light brown head, good lace. Sweet, chocolat, light roasted, good hops. Smooth and medium full. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 11, 2007
Bottled (thanks tbone_). Deep brownish golden colour with small brownish beige head. Aroma is plum, alcohol, caramel malts and quite much spices. Flavour is quite much spicy plumpudding, spices, some slight bittering hops and also some yeasty notes. Really wellbalanced and good brew. TBone (18558) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2007

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Very dark brown color, small expresso head. Sweet dark fruits dominate the aroma (plums, dates), also some caramel malts. Crisp carbonation. Licorice, plums, dark malts, some hops and then alcohol in the finish. Nice lingering licorice flavor in the aftertaste. Very good tasty doppelbock ... it is a not Celebrator but very wellmade..
Nice brown color. Smell little wort, light hints of earth, coffee and roasty. Pleasant taste, nice for a winterbok.
