I had this at Global Brew. Pours a burgandy with a tan head. Taste slightly sweet, dark fruits possibly cranberries or juniper berries. I thought this was so so. I would not drink this again.

Bottle. Pours red copper-brown with off white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, and fruits. Taste is sweet, bitter, caramel, apples, chocolate, malt, even some smoke. Finish is also sweet and bitter. Overall: nice one. Strykzone (7797) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Pint at Global Brew that was $12.75 and was listed as 6% ABV. This arrived opaque dark brown and had a nice head. An aroma of dark fruit and sweeter malts. The aroma was not big but did have some nice subtlety. That dark fruit in the flavor, too. It was sweet, powdery, complex and malty. That dark fruit has a lot going on in it and it made this a fun beer to try. Some chocolate came late. Somewhere in there some hop bitterness and some spiciness showed up. Good stuff. Bottled. Pours slightly hazy, deep amber with a medium sized, beige head. Amoma of toasted malt, caramel, brown sugar and spicy notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily text. and soft carb. A nice brew. Lupulucid (189) - - FEB 1, 2014
Arctic Circle Ale is somewhat akin to an alpine liqueur with a dose of hops. The juniper expression is not crisp as in gin but more balanced with the malt such that the bitterness and vegetal character is more evident than any piney character. Carbonation is restrained. Bottle. It pours hazy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is wood, earth, peppery, spice, earth, a touch HP sauce and faint smoke. The taste is caramel, candy, peppery, wood, earth, light alcohol, dirt and twigs with a dry, bitterish finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth. Interesting.
