Bottle 50 cl. Hazy dark brown with some copper color with no head but small lacing. Notes of wood, burnt, coffee, chocolate, berries, juniper, spruce, herbs, roasty, pines. Interesting tasty beer with lot of different flavors. Feels like a crossing between an Ale and a Stout or Porter. Goes down pretty easy. Good brew. KoNrRiI (1514) - Århus, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2013
0.5 bottle. Clear, dark crimson color with a small, latte-colored head. Aroma is sweet and dominated by malts but there is also some toast, liquorice, and dark fruits. Taste is quite bitter I would even describe it as heavy, has some smoky notes, malts, spices, alcohol and a whole lot of juniper. Medium to full body, oily texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is bitter and a tad astringent as well, first, brief sensation after swallowing are rather hop but then it rapidly becomes more malty with a strong, uncanny taste of juniper. Definitely a beer with a character! BillHick420 (460) - NORWAY - DEC 2, 2013
Pours raisin brown with a brownish tinted head. Thick foam, and nose of dried fruits and hints of alcohol. Aroma of the same notes, with a linger hop at the finish line. Strong alcohol presence. Sarpa (1571) - FINLAND - NOV 26, 2013

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2015 Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a medium-sized frothy head that leaves lacing. The aroma displays toasty dark maltiness, ripe fruitiness, berries and some spicy notes – quite varied actually. Taste is both malty and spicy. It has initially mostly sweet caramel maltiness; later the emphasis shifts to dried fruits, berries and herbal spiciness. Rye and especially juniper feature too. Moderate but noticeable hoppiness makes the finish dry and medium bitter. The palate is medium-bodied, fairly smooth and moderately carbonated. Overall this nods definitely towards British-style winter warmers. A good winter ale with lots of variety from Malmgård. Chrisis1980 (16) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 15, 2013
This tastes like a sauna in winter. It has a very unexpected taste of pine, just unique and requires getting used to, but once again a very solid beer from Malmgård.santabeer (68) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2013

0.5l @ Vinmonopolet, Sørlandssenteret, Kristiansand. Superb beer. Rich taste of coffe and chocolate. A christmas beer out of the ordinary. :) Andy_ (1110) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 19, 2013
Reddish brown hazy beer with lots of beige head. Aroma has sugary sweetness, rye, juniper, whiskey and alcohol. The flavor has dark bready malts, whiskey and sweetness. The finish is mostly alcoholic because the bitterness goes past so quickly. The palate is medium full and moderately carbonated. The alcohol starts tasting through towards the end of the glass more and more making it almost painful to drink. Still an interesting brew. JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 1, 2013
Bottle. Dark murky red brown pour, with a small thin head. Malty sweetness, caramel, raisin, light roast, a hint of juniper, and light bitterness. Not that good, but its drinkable.
