Reddish brown hazy beer with lots of beige head. Aroma has sugary sweetness, rye, juniper, whiskey and alcohol. The flavor has dark bready malts, whiskey and sweetness. The finish is mostly alcoholic because the bitterness goes past so quickly. The palate is medium full and moderately carbonated. The alcohol starts tasting through towards the end of the glass more and more making it almost painful to drink. Still an interesting brew. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 1, 2013
Bottle. Dark murky red brown pour, with a small thin head. Malty sweetness, caramel, raisin, light roast, a hint of juniper, and light bitterness. Not that good, but its drinkable. arsol (1265) - NORWAY - SEP 30, 2013

500ml bottle from the Drink Shop, Tallinn, dark slightly reddish brown colour, almost non-existent cream head. Aroma is nuts, herbs. juniper and rye bread with a note of licorice. Medium to full body, very soft carbonation, long bitter and sour finish. Not bad a combination, I don’t mind fairly soft carbonation but this one was closer to flat in that aspect. jookos (7155) - FINLAND - SEP 18, 2013
Bottle. Brown mahogany. Nutty malty nose with foresty aromas, twigs, juniper, and roasted malts. Full bodied, dry bitter. Roasted malts, herbal tones, dried roasted coffee and chocolate in finish. Strange, but savory and nice. Feels like a stout mixed with sahti, fermented with ale yeast. Once again a good brew from malmgård. rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 14, 2013
Sample from bottle at Nordisk Ölhandel, Copenhagen. Cloudy amber/Brown beer with a nice offwhite head. Fruity aroma herbal, raisins, caramel, hazelnuts, some biscuits. Caramel flavor, raisins, juniper berries, grassy, hay, floral notes, some hazelnuts, roasted, some citrus. Floral finish with citrus and juniper berries. Not your average beer, but I Think it was ok.
