500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.3%, KV 18.5%, 60 EBU. Deep brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Malty aroma, a bit "unfresh", notes of caramel and stale jam. Fairly sweet and malty flavour, better than the aroma, plenty of caramel and brown bread notes, the juniper is hard to identify. Very moderate hops, but there is a little bitterness in the aftertaste, along with notes of brown toast. Drinkable beer, but probably not something I will buy again. Dark brown, small head. Weak aroma of juniper and Coca-Cola. Taste is slightly boozie with juniper and chewing gum. Medium bitterneness and pretty dry. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. I think I like it but it’s kind off somehow. Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, bread crusts, toasted notes, caramel and some coffee. Flavor is sweet and malty with some caramel, juniper and berries. Medium body, average carbonation. Palme (4780) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2013
0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep ruby one with a small quickly bubbly and lacing off-white top. On the nose I get a strong slightly burned caramel sweetness blended with sweet sticky red fruits. There is something undefined in here that I have a hard time pinpointing. Will keep it in mind while I’m drinking. Above average carbonated with a light oily mouthfeel. As expected it’s on the sweet and malty side of the scale this. Kinda herbal. Wait, I think that might have been the unidentified aroma that I could not describe was. Yeah, it’s kinda herbal and almost heathery. Nuts and more sweet caramel finishes this one off. Not sure what I think of it. Made me use the old brain for a second, but other than that this won’t be a beer I will use any more time on. Well, except when I’ll be posting it on ratebeer that is of course. And perhaps I will mention it to some of my friends at some point. I most likely have to remove it from my inventory as well, and I’ll be trying to dodge it when I see it on the shelf’s. Hmm.. This took up more of my time than I think it’s worth! 08.02.2013 khhoeie (51) - NORWAY - MAY 3, 2013
Never heard of Huvila before, so this an exciting new thing.
Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. A bit disappointed.

Interesting and different beer Cybercat (5740) - Georgia, USA - APR 8, 2013
Comes out of the bottle a clear sepia with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Syrupy aroma has a sweet, spicy overtone with touches of fruit and - yes, juniper. Flavor has woody, clove, nutty and earthy notes, rather enjoyable. Texture has average fizz and body, not too shabby. Even if this is a winter beer, enjoyable whatever the season. brnandersen (3870) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 6, 2013
50 cl. bottle. Amber-red colour with no head, just a thin ring around the edges of the glass. Spicy aroma with the juniper very pungent. Caramel malts, bread, nuts, dark, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is sweet. Medium body, flat carbonation. Spicy finish with rich malts and juniper. If you´re a kind of juniper-guy this is certainly the beer for you. Enjoyable, even if I wonder, the beer should be so little carbonated. Arve_Christian (5112) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 5, 2013

Draught. Dark with beige head. Malty aroma with a certain juniper scent, which also comes across in flavour. Flavour is sweet and has dark fruits to it, and some bitterness to keep the balance. Very decent.
