[4265-20120120] 1pt0.9floz bottle. Grainy heavily toasted malt aroma has just a hint of licorice bark. Slightly hazy, brown amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasted bread malt flavour has muted grains but a bold base. Medium-full body. Tasty, drinkable but not seeking pints. (6/3+/7/3/14) 3.3

Bottle from Alko, Kouvoula. Thin brown head. Dark-red-amber color. The aroma is fruity with black currants and violets and a litle rancid. The taste is smooth malty with some burnt caramell.

Dark brown, off-white head. Nose is sweet malt, some hops and juniper notes. It all blends together very well and is a complex and pleasant harmony. Taste has a more pronounced bitterness, but that is balanced out by the slightly sticky sweetness. Juniper blends surprisingly well together with the hops. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation. Good stuff.

500ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a small off-white head that leave a thin lacing. Aroma is dark fruits and roasted malts with hints of hops. Taste is malty sweet with some roasted malt bitterness and a moderate hop bitterness with hints of dark fruit. Medium body and mild carbonation. This definitely satisfied my taste buds. Well done.

2012-01-19. Brown body with a nice tan head. 3+ Modest aroma, dry dusty malt, interesting fruit character - juniper notes? Sweet toasty malt accents. 6+ Flavour is similar, dry malt light fruity juniper notes throughout, sort of a grainy undercurrent. 6+ Average bodied palate is surprisingly light for the abv. Okay, it doesn’t quite come together for me today, but it is decent.Bottle shared by JoeMcPhee

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2014 Deep ruddy pour with a thick white head. The nose is quite lovely. Rich fruity aroma with some plum and date. Has a bit of juniper and some spicy malt. A bit of pine and some lovely soft earthiness. Really spicy and quite lovely. 8 4 7 4 15 Deep amber pour with a bit of soft fruity character. A little bit minty with some nice peppery character. There’s a soft sort of peppery character with a nice bit of light ethanol. Moderate bitterness and a little bit of light fruit. Some nice peppery notes. There is a touch of honey and some nice lingering hop flavour. I like it. 7 4 7 3 14
