COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huvila Arctic Circle Ale is a chestnut coloured ale with a malty/fruity odour. It tastes of dark fruits and caramel malts and finishes off with a nice bitter hop tail. It is brewed with both juniper twigs and a large dose of Finnish attitude. It is available on tap an in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. The beer has also featured among the seasonal Christmas beers at Alko, the Finnish monopoly retail distributor of beers with more than 4.7% Alc. Arctic Circle Ale is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers.

Dark copper with small short lasting head. The first sippers were very weird, but then it got bether and bether. Aroma of alcohol and juniper. Taste is juniper, alcohol, roasted and spices. Very well balanced.

Dark copper beer with low but little- bubbled head that stays very long with nice lacing on the glass. Complex aroma with malts (biscuits, dark caramel), fruit esters, hint of juniper and hint of hop. Taste: medium sweet, medium to high bitter, dark caramel, biscuit on front, some juniper, than hoppy finish. Palate: low to medium saturation, pretty full, oily beer. Gets smooth when it warms up. Overall: very nice, complex beer, have notes from quite a few styles like old ale, belgian dark ale, scottisch export etc.

Frothmeister (829) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 17, 2016
500ml bottle. In the cellar for about a year. Pours a clear dark copper with a tan head. On the nose burnt sugar, light earthiness, light molasses, herbal lozenges, and a light woody note. Taste wise, lightly sweet with brown sugar notes, light pine, and light molasses that heads into more of the same with a tinge of slightly bitter dark coffee, and some woody notes / pot (yup pot) in the bitter finish. It’s solid. I would buy it again.
