Huvila Arctic Circle Ale is a chestnut coloured ale with a malty/fruity odour. It tastes of dark fruits and caramel malts and finishes off with a nice bitter hop tail. It is brewed with both juniper twigs and a large dose of Finnish attitude. It is available on tap an in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. The beer has also featured among the seasonal Christmas beers at Alko, the Finnish monopoly retail distributor of beers with more than 4.7% Alc. Arctic Circle Ale is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish chestnut in colour with off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, rye, burnt sugar, plum. Taste is rye, sweet and slightly bitter.

No, not very good. Uncomfortably sour flavors that do not mix with the caramel from the malt.

NosirIwont (2592) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2015
Bottle. 7.3%. Best before 01.05.16. Pours a cloudy/murky reddish amber/brown, with a tan head. Great lacing. Sweet, (dark) fruity aroma. Light spicy note and a roasted hint as it warms. Further warming brings out a hint of... chlorine? Same flavour, sans the chlorine, with a bitterness in the background, the latter coming out in the finish; liquorice. Lingering mild alcohol burn. Soft palate. Overall good. A wee bit cloying in the long run, but otherwise well-balanced. 24.11.15.

kustie (1316) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 21, 2015

Beers0mniac (147) - Joensuu, FINLAND - NOV 18, 2015
Dark brown color with minimal white head. Strong juniper nose with dark fruits and malts. Sweet caramel and fruity taste with nice hops bite in the end. Recommended, especially in winter! Captures the essence of winter, very nice

nybol (2354) - DENMARK - NOV 12, 2015
Mild i humlen og ikke ret meget sødme i den. Den kunne godt have været bedre i eftersmagen.

Hikeg (295) - - NOV 8, 2015
Average, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing head, fair lacing. Normal, medium brown body. Moderate malty aroma with notes of bread, hay, toasted and molasses. Moderate hoppy aroma with notes of grass and orange. Notes of date, smoke, honey, pepper and cola. Moderate sweet moderate bitter. Average, light sweet, moderate bitter and moderate acidic finish. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Light alcoholic, moderate astringent and chalky finish.
