Bottle at home. Pours a clear brown with a small off-white head. Sweet and malty with lots of caramel aromas. The juniper is especially noticeable towards the end, even though it is quite mellow. Hints of nuts. Medium bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Sweet and bitter finish with more juniper.

(bottle - 500 ml) Ruby red color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is loaded with hints of pine, juniper, malts, and caramel. Flavor is much the same. A good amount of pine and sweet malts at the beginning with a malty and light chocolate middle coming quick behind it. Fruity and piney at the finish with a light sweetness that lingers.

This is a cool beer. I had this once before and though it was great. This time the juniper is lowered but still lightly there. In general its a thick barelywine without any of the negatives because they did not try to make this an alcohol bomb. So nothing astringent, no cherry. Its just a thick malt bomb with some raisin. The flavor has a bit more bitterness to it and in general the juniper is off setting some of the heft of the beer. Color is dark brown, too dark to see through. The head sticks around for a while. A nicely thicker mouthfeel works great for the structure of the beer.
500mL bottle, Schlitz malt liquor thick goblet (yeah, old skool).

50 cl. bottle. Amber-red colour with no head, just a thin ring around the edges of the glass. Spicy aroma with the juniper very pungent. Caramel malts, bread, nuts, dark, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is sweet. Medium body, flat carbonation. Spicy finish with rich malts and juniper. If you´re a kind of juniper-guy this is certainly the beer for you. Enjoyable, even if I wonder, the beer should be so little carbonated.

Tide (3972) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 19, 2013
Bottle from Alko. Brown color, beige head. Sweet/bitter taste with nuts, bread, chocolate and a bit of fruits. Nicely balanced body. Malty finish with nuts and bread. Nice brown ale.

mile (3949) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 14, 2010
Bottle. Dark brown, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate and very spicy and herbal aroma with juniper, some sweetness. Body is medium, malty and dryish, herbal spiciness with juniper. Finish is average, malty, juniper with soapy hoppyness. Juniper just does not work with this hoppyness – it gets too overwhelming.

Spab (3902) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2014
500 ml bottle for LCBO. Pours a clear reddish amber with small off-white head. Aroma is juniper, caramel, pepper and a little sourness. Flavour is caramel, juniper spiciness, a bit of sour fruit and woodiness. Sticky mouthfeel. Mellow carbonation. Interesting - not one I’d have tons of but good.

Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JAN 26, 2014
Dark brown of color with a nice beige head. An aroma of wood, pine, heather, honey and juniper. A flavor of caramel, toffee, juniper, heather and wood.
