beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - DEC 21, 2011
16.9 oz. bottle. Pours a lightly hazed dark brown that is still transparent with a thin off-white head that is gone by the second sip and leaves no lace. Pleasant aroma of toffee with a few notes of juniper. The flavor is heavily laden with toffee that is mildly oxidized, malt and just a bit of juniper. Moderate bitterness at the finish.

suurjuust (3607) - ESTONIA - FEB 5, 2012
Dark brown, off-white head. Nose is sweet malt, some hops and juniper notes. It all blends together very well and is a complex and pleasant harmony. Taste has a more pronounced bitterness, but that is balanced out by the slightly sticky sweetness. Juniper blends surprisingly well together with the hops. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation. Good stuff.

cfrancis (3511) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 27, 2014
Pours dark brown with a small frothy off white top. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, spice and earthy hop. Taste is peppery, juniper, malt sweetness and an earthy hop bitterness. It’s really bitter actually. Interesting.

Zlotta (3504) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JUN 22, 2015
0,5 l bottle from MC Kiosk in Bonn, best before 21/1/2016. Clear, deep red with a massive, foamy, stable and tan head. Pleasant, fruity-malty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, juniper, redcurrant and raisins. Sweetish-fruity taste of redcurrant, mushrooms and juniper with hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Short, slightly bitter finish with lots of juniper. Medium body, slightly creamy texture, average carbonation. Very interesting stuff but not totally convincing. The juniper is a bit too dominant so that the beer is somewhat unbalanced.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 29, 2010
Dark mahogany colored with medium sized light brown head. Rich spicy aroma with licorice and some sour juniper as well, thin roastiness also comes up. Medium bodied. Flavor is more on a dry side with still spices and licorice dominating, some dry cardboardy and vegetably note comes up as well. Aftertaste is dry still with some sour juniper and drying hopped touch.

Grumbo (3464) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2014
Bottle from www.biershop.bierpost.com. Pours a copper colour with a just off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, fruit and mild spice. Bitter-sweet finish, average carbonation, medium body. Enjoyable. Deceptively drinkable for it’s abv.

Metalchopz (3447) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 6, 2015
Pours a hazy copper colour with amber highlights. The head is frothy, bubbly, warm-beige, lasts long and gives out creamy-bubbly lacing. Big aromas of dates, caramel, raisins, nuts, hits of smoke and wood. The burnt malt shows up in the taste all the way. Spices and some nice bitterness, creating a good dryness in the finish. Seems like Juniper lingering with coffee notes. Quite a pleasant brew to try. Like a mild smokey stout with light spices.

SlackerMads (3433) - DENMARK - NOV 25, 2012
Bottle. Brown with off-white head. Aroma is sweet with a light sour cellulose thing to it. Otherwise notes of almonds, marzipan, malt, yeast, leather. Vinous. Taste is a bit watery at first but some alcohol sweetness kicks in. Notes of burnt caramel, plums, toffee, spices. Ends bitter. Interesting stuff that I need to try again.

Bottle picked up somewhere in Denver. Great woody/spicy juniper aroma. Taste is more subtle, dark and earthy. Would love another.
