COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huvila Arctic Circle Ale is a chestnut coloured ale with a malty/fruity odour. It tastes of dark fruits and caramel malts and finishes off with a nice bitter hop tail. It is brewed with both juniper twigs and a large dose of Finnish attitude. It is available on tap an in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. The beer has also featured among the seasonal Christmas beers at Alko, the Finnish monopoly retail distributor of beers with more than 4.7% Alc. Arctic Circle Ale is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers.

500 ml bottle poured a clear brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of rye, cocoa, toasted malt, earthiness, molasses and light juniper. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, cocoa, earthiness, light molasses and a hint of juniper with a smooth dry lingering earthy finish.

Bottle shared by ShareANevada. Poured hazy brown with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy dark fruit and juniper aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy spice and dark fruit sweet flavor with a medium to heavy spice sweet finish of moderated to long duration. Refreshing complex standout beer.

Bottle. It pours hazy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is wood, earth, peppery, spice, earth, a touch HP sauce and faint smoke. The taste is caramel, candy, peppery, wood, earth, light alcohol, dirt and twigs with a dry, bitterish finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth. Interesting.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Dark amber color. Malt, grassy hops and licorice in the aroma. Firm earthy oily hopbitter flavor with licorice and some hidden melon notes. Hops and licorice lingering on in the aftertaste, though the balance ramains largely intact. Nice brew.

Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, caramel, nutty), average hop (herbs, grass), average yeast (earth, leaves) with notes of plum, date, dust, and juniper. Medium bodied, alcoholic texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
