COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huvila Arctic Circle Ale is a chestnut coloured ale with a malty/fruity odour. It tastes of dark fruits and caramel malts and finishes off with a nice bitter hop tail. It is brewed with both juniper twigs and a large dose of Finnish attitude. It is available on tap an in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. The beer has also featured among the seasonal Christmas beers at Alko, the Finnish monopoly retail distributor of beers with more than 4.7% Alc. Arctic Circle Ale is also imported into the US through Shelton Brothers.

Smells nice if slightly subdued, malty, smoky, caramel, bread on the aroma. Dark brown, muddy, little head. Not very pretty. Tastes interesting and unique, upfront smoky and medicinal flavors, finishes with anise, a caramel sweetness and a leafy hop bitterness. A bit too sweet for my taste & not superbly balanced, but unique. Medium bodied and average carbonation.

Butelka. Barwa ciemno brunatna. Piana biała, trwała. Aromat i smak zdominowana jałowcem.Pełne w smaku. Wycenie średnie do wysokiego. Goryczka niska. Alkohol dobrze ukryty. Wersja Pinty bardziej mi smakowała.

Dark copper beer with low but little- bubbled head that stays very long with nice lacing on the glass. Complex aroma with malts (biscuits, dark caramel), fruit esters, hint of juniper and hint of hop. Taste: medium sweet, medium to high bitter, dark caramel, biscuit on front, some juniper, than hoppy finish. Palate: low to medium saturation, pretty full, oily beer. Gets smooth when it warms up. Overall: very nice, complex beer, have notes from quite a few styles like old ale, belgian dark ale, scottisch export etc.

(bottle - 500 ml) Ruby red color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is loaded with hints of pine, juniper, malts, and caramel. Flavor is much the same. A good amount of pine and sweet malts at the beginning with a malty and light chocolate middle coming quick behind it. Fruity and piney at the finish with a light sweetness that lingers.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of oh6gdx. Clear orangey brown with a rough beige head. Sweet aroma of burned caramel, nuts and alcohol. Quite full-bodied, burned caramel, nuts and brown sugar. Fairly hoppy finish. Very solid English Strong Ale. 240709
