On tap at Oluthuone Black Door. Light gold, hazy. Smallish white head with tonnes of lacing. Orange peel, pithy grapefruit and a touch of sourness on the nose. Tastes sweet at first, but an intense and somewhat astringent bitterness takes hold and leads the beer into the long finish. Yeast roll, posset and hard citrus vie for attention in the aftertaste. When all is said and done it’s pretty good. Doesn’t start so well but it certainly grew on me, the tenacious little bugger.

nihtila (3868) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 12, 2015
Keg at Black Door, Helsinki, Fin. Pours clear pale golden. Nose is refreshing fruits, pale malts, lemon. Taste is hops, grass, lemon, quite bitter finish. Solid.

Scopey (15476) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2015
Keg at Black Door, Helsinki. It pours clear golden with a decent white head. The nose is soft, doughy malts, a load of pissy hops, sweaty and lemon sherbet. The taste is crisp, rather bitter, clean, grapefruit, lemon rind, straw, grassy and pithy citrus with a very dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps too bitter and dry even. OK.

Svesse (8742) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 28, 2015
(Draught at Black Door, Helsinki, 25 May 2015) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, grass, lemon peel and biscuits. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, biscuits and a fresh citric bitterness in the finish. Light body, quite dry. Possibly a bit thin but fresh, tasty and highly drinkable. Nice one.
