50 cl bottle.
Pours clear and pale yellow with a medium head, leaves some lacing. Aroma is grassy hops, dry hay and a bit of fruits. Taste is light fruits, mostly citrus, a bit of cardboard and distant notes of caramel. Quite bitter palate and a very dry finish. Best consumed after a hot sauna.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Sweet malt aroma. Light grass and citrus in the flavor, modest sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sugar in the finish, light hop presence. Nice given the low ABV.

At chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. Gold. Grapefruit and elderflower hop aroma. Intense nettly hop taste. I suppose it advertises itself as an overdose, but it really needs something else.

{thoughts} Pleasantly, tropically hoppy though somewhat frustrated by competing esters.

{elements} Light hazy, golden hue; tall, white foam. Bright aroma of tropical fruits and apricots with a soft background of crackers and honey. off-dry, light acidity, moderate bitterness; bready sweetness, clean and fruity hops, berry like esters and tannic finish. Light body, soft carbonation, silky texture. 50 cl bottle, bbe 31.07.11.

At Papsoe’s pre CPH Beer Fest tasting, cheers Henrik! Cloudy gold beer. Crisp palate, actually surprisingly aggressive hops for it’s abv. Sharp grapefruit. Bitterish dry finish.

Kavu (4800) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 9, 2011
Pours slightly hazy yellow with a low head. Aroma is strong hops and some fruits. Flavor is malts, fruits and lots of hops. Lives up to it’s name, which is nice.

DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2011
Draught at Black Door, Helsinki. Pale, dusted gold with a fine lacing foam and frills. Pissy, old dishcloth aroma with fibrous pineapple hints and background tinned peach. Floral, shampoo and quinine hop..some softening peach and passion fruit. Fresh, hopped up, quite harsh. Has the bollocks of a bigger beer, but balance to go with it. 100 IBUs according to the chap behind the bar. Late, peanut husk afters. Excellent- wouldn’t be out of place in The Valley.

500ml bottle. Pours a reddish gold with a full, creamy white head. Aroma is of floral hops, some citrus. Taste is - as the label says - a hop overdose. Palate is dry and surprisingly full. All in all, quite one dimensional, but the hops do take care of everything. They provide the needed fullness, aroma and taste. Exactly what it says on the tin.
