Draught at HBF 2010
In a moment of brilliance forgot to write down the name for this one, but managed to track down what it is (with some help from SaintMatty, whom I thank now!). It should be situated chronologically between the Schlafly ESB and Laitilan Espi IV!
Poured a slightly hazy yellow-golden body with a medium sized white head. Piney and agrumey hop nose, light sweet apple maybe. Bitter hop, piney, completely dominates the taste, allowing just some sweetness possibly to peep through. The lack of maltiness is evident but who cares! The hop profile is quite great, and now, seeing that this is just 3.9% makes this even better in my eyes. Another very good beer from Malmgård, from my experience now, definitely the best Finnish brewery along with Koskipanimo (Plevna)!

rmasa (324) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 13, 2010
Golden yellow color with decent if unbalanced head; very refreshing aroma of crisp citrus and grapefruits, pine and hops; mouthfeel is thin with only high carbonation holding it up; flavor not quite as refreshing as the nose, great deal of bitterness satisfies your soul for a short period of time, but after about half a bottle it gets a bit boring. Still nice and greatly refreshing for sauna beer for example.

Bottle from K-citymarket Sello. Huvila’s H.O.D.A. made for Black Door has a crisp citric hoppy aroma and has a beautiful hazy orange colour with a white head. Taste is also fresh, hoppy and bitter. Nice, a bit oily mouthfeel, feels refreshing. Good body for such a low ABV. This beer is definitely one of the few great Finnish ones you can buy from a crocery store (max. 4,7% ABV) here.

bierkoning (13813) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 13, 2009
Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Light amber color, hazy. Grapefruit and oily and woody hops in the aroma, not too abundant, considering the massive IBU’s. The flavor gives a lot of hopbitterness. Oily and leathery. Earthy. Citrus. Thin and a somewhat watery mouthfeel, but this isn’t a bad ale. Long earthy bitter aftertaste.

Archibaldo de la Cruz (1120) - FINLAND - DEC 5, 2009
Bottle. Hazy orange, medium-sized white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit and lemon. The flavour is very bitter and dry, notes of pine, grapefruit and lemon. Long dry and bitter aftertaste. Quite thin and unbalanced, but still very tasty.

500ml Bottle - Hazy amber n colour. Pine and hops feature in the aroma, along with some grapefruit and pineapple hints. Hoppy and bitter taste, with grapefruit, tofee and a pleasant, lingering bitterness.

Cloudy, orange beer with medium and white head. Hop.Over.Dose.Ale have hoppy and aromatic aroma with pine needles and some fruits. Flavour is strongly bitter and it is near of overdose of hops in the first mouthfull. But you adjust to strong bitterness quickly and there are also lot of pine needles, grass and maybe some lemon and then flavour turns into long and bitter end. All the flavour seems to become from hops and I would wish also something more than only hops. Quite easy to drink but not watery. I had to wait a long time before I get this beer into my glass, but worth to wait. Strogly bitterness beer, that pleasures hop freeks.

50cl bottle. Golden color with a frothy white head, that lasts. Citrus and lots of hops in aroma. A very dry taste, citrus well hidden, but it is there, more in the aftertaste: Very very dry and bitter, just as it says on the bottle. Think this will be a favourite.

Finwe (438) - Grankulla, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2009
Cask at Black Door. Hazy golden yellow colour with a white head. A fresh, citric aroma. A dry, hoppy taste, the impression of citrus fruits here too. Dry, hoppy bitter aftertaste. A refreshing beer to quench your thirst with.

500 ml bottle. Cloydy yellow with big white head. Aroma has lots of hops as advertised. Same goes for the flavour. Very dry mouthfeel and finish. Some citrus like notes in this one.
