courtesy of oh6gdx - bordeaux-brown colour, hazy; little irregualr foam formed of big bubbles; aroma of butterscotch and cookie maltiness; sweet and medium-bodied, fairly bitter, dry and malty, somehow flowerish finish FatPhil (17334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 10, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2007 Deep red, thin bready head. Subtle aroma - beer imminant that’s for sure. A bit creamy I guess. Swirl it to get rid of excess carbonation. Then it will taste of great old-fashoned classic English bitter. Hints of ginger, good hops - probably goldings. So sessionable, so tasty.

Draught (Helsinki Beer Festival 2007, Helsinki) as "Villijoutsen".
Clear red look. Little aroma (too cold maybe?) Really creamy taste, plenty of hops. Stays in the mouth a long time. mrdasilva (120) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2008
Not much head, a bit hazy red-brown color. Sweetly malty, soft, bread-like aroma. Very tempting. Soft, malty and a bit salty flavor. A bit watery but smooth palate. Would work better if it was 5%. Nice anyways. Kavu (5248) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 2, 2011
Pours clear brown with a low head. Aroma is fruits and honey. Flavor is mostly malts, pretty basic ale really. Decent. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2007
A Mes rate:
50cl bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. Light amber colour with a reasonable head and lace. A fairly dull hoppy number with some pleasant floral notes and a light fruityness. Slight caramel. Dryish bitter finish.

Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Labelled as Villijoutsen. Chestnut with lasting beige head. Sour aroma, lemon, some hop. Good sourness, some candy sugar. Interesting. Bit empty somewhere. White pepper on end. suurjuust (3839) - ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2011
Clear amber, tan head. Nose is interesting - strawberries, nuts, malt, hints of caramel. Taste is malt, hay, some caramel, hints of berries with bitterness in the finish. Palate is on the thin side. Not bad, but expected more. ration (2281) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 16, 2013

(Bottle BB 04/07) Rather mild aroma of citrus fruits, nut and caramel. Red brown colour, slightly hazy and average size, slightly brown, slightly lasting head with good lacing. Malty and fruity flavour with hints of nut and caramel. Lively carbonated and medium-bodied palate. 27/12/06 duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2007
Bottle. Slight aeysty character, almost Belgian, rather than being a bitter. Slightly acidic, and citric, with noticeable carbonation. Lots of whole meal grainy malt characters, which lends itself more towards a bitter, but the yeastyness was obvious. Not too bad in the end.
