Grovlam (4222) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2008
Bottle. Courtesy of Jeppe [Amager Mikkeller Brew session @ Amager Bryghus] Average light brown head that mostly diminished. Black colour. Aroma of toasted malt, hint of caramel and light chocolate and coffee notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Light to moderated sweet and bitter flavour. Somewhat roasted malty and bitter finish.

Ungstrup (37317) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 14, 2008
Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with a pretty strong roasted note. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt as well as a light coffee note, leading to a dry bitter and roasted finish.

Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2008
Deep brown of color with a beige head. An aroma of sour malt, old blackbread, spice and roasted notes. A flavor of roasted malt and hae - a very thin and boring porter.

KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 18, 2007
Bottle at chris_os. A velvety dark beer with lots of chocoalte and coffee aroma. Very nice and very drinkable.

thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 27, 2007
Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a huge, lacing light brown head. Bitter chocolate and espresso nose, hints of berries. Chocolate and vanilla flavours rule with some tart fruits in the background. Hints of licorice in the finish. Medium, smooth body. A very nice porter.

RichardGretton (4758) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2007
Bottle. Blackish beer with a light head. The aroma is roasted and bitter and the flavour is roasted, bitter/burnt. Overall a nice roasted and bitter beer.

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2007
A Mes rate: Draught @ Bruxellensis. Black body, tan head, as it should be. Nice alcoholic notes with plenty dark malt and liquorice. Coffee, nuts and chocolate put in an appearance too. Maybe just a little to sweet but it is wiped away by the finish.

leaparsons (10504) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2007
Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are earthy and malty with some oaty notes. Liquorice with herbal and citrus aspects. Flavours are earthy light coffee with chocolate malts. Some caramel and mollasses. Herbal and rooty. Good.

bierkoning (13299) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - SEP 10, 2007
Draught @ Bruxellensis. Roast flavor with coffee. Rather thin. Somewhat indifferent aroma. Good, tasty beer, but nothing outstanding.

JorisPPattyn (9929) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2007
Draught Near black beer, lots of brownish head & lace. Ink, dark fallen leaves, lots of chocolate, ending slightly sweet-ish. Dry-wry, earthy, leafy taste, (Im tempted to say: exactly what is missing in an English mild). Complex, layered. Light to medium bodied; long, but discreet bitterish-sweetish aftertaste. Very good porter indeed.
