Opaque black, small but steady tanned head. Coffee, roasted, chocolaty nose. Hoppy, roasted medium-bodied brew but lacks malty backbone: typical to Huvila beers. Dry, woody aftertaste.
Red-tinged brown. Through the brewery says the sun will make it appear a traffic-light red. Smokey, coffeeish and very nutty aroma. Slightly dusty as well. soft and sweet body with cream, slight caramel, coffee notes. Smooth, sweet finish. Very clean, subtle. sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 27, 2004

, 6-4-7-3-13=3.3) Almost black with no head. Roasty, sweet-sour, licoricey. Watery palate, probably served too cold and not at its best. At least I hope so, as this used to be a very good porter! I’ll average the scores until another re-rate.
’s Pub, Helsinki Feb 27, 2004. Was 7-4-8-4-14=3.7) Almost black color, slightly red. Quite sour aroma, and a bit sweet. Sweetish, sour flavor, slightly alcoholic. A very enjoyable brew, and the best Finnish porter I’ve had.

Transparently black with off white head. Citrusy hoppy nose. Very chocolatey with loads of coffee. Dry with clean malt profile and a bitter licorice finish. A truly excellent classic porter!
