Artevelde Grand Cru features a dark red-brown colour, a firm, creamy, and cream-coloured head. The smell of roasted malt, caramel and the sweet fruitiness of the alcohol give this beer the perfect aroma. Caramel, sweet fruitiness and a pleasant bitterness are the predominant flavours. Its aftertaste reveals a pinch of toffee and date. Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops, yeast. Triple fermented.

Strong beer with triple fermentation. Sweet And tasty. Not too much complex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33l bottle. Very dark ruby/brown colour with medium lasting beige head. Aroma: Basement aromas, yeasty/funky tones with candy sugar notes. Taste: Has a malty, sourish grainey and brandy styled start with a very light bitter mouthfeel. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Medium lasting sweet/sour finish. Not bad but it's on the funky/yeasty side without a significant malty and hoppy tone and it has a bit too high carbonation.

Bottle. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a tall and loud beige head. Good retention. Nose: dark malts, spicy yeast, fresh and dried fruit. Light to medium body. The taste keeps the features mentioned above. Rather thin for that ABV. Mediocre within Belgian standards.

Smaakt heel lekker, lekker vol.

Bottle from Jumbo. Gusher - half of the bottle disappeared on opening. Hazy brown body with no head or lacing. Aroma of malt vinegar, burnt orange and stewed figs. Flavour of sour apple, cinnamon, boozy orange and brown bread. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Sharp and almost sangria-like. An unusual beer that grew on me.

Vale tomar novamente. Tomei em Bruxelas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Dark brown liquid with small light blue beige caplease. Aroma fulfilled with strong alcohol smell. Full body. Alcoholic taste with raisin notes.

Cristobal37 (1427) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 7, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2017 Malty, chocolate, fruity aroma. Handsome brown with creamy tan head. Big malty, chalky, dry bitterness. Quite dry and malty with an interesting red beer sour bitter character. Good belgian ale, pretty burly compared to the original or De Koninck, but cut from the same cloth in the end.
