COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Artevelde Grand Cru features a dark red-brown colour, a firm, creamy, and cream-coloured head. The smell of roasted malt, caramel and the sweet fruitiness of the alcohol give this beer the perfect aroma. Caramel, sweet fruitiness and a pleasant bitterness are the predominant flavours. Its aftertaste reveals a pinch of toffee and date. Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops, yeast. Triple fermented.

Huge beige frothy head disappeared immediately leaving just a reddy brown , effervescent body. Caramel, brown sugar aroma. Medium body, slight tingle on the back. Malt, caramel, brown sugar - thats about it. Totally Non-Descript

Ciemno brązowe. Piana bezowa, drobna, dość obfita, ale opada. W aromacie nuty owocowe. Ciekawe słodkawe nuty kwiatowe. W smaku skrka od chleba, lekko słodkawe. Znw owoce. Dość wytrawne. Są nuty kojarzące się z koźlakiem. Wychodzi alkohol. Przeciętne.

Robe ambre surmonte dune mousse ivoire moyennement persistante.Le nez nous offre des armes de malts et dalcool qui amnent en bouche de douces saveurs maltes et vineuses.Peu de caractre pour cette bire qui reste lgre et nous laisse sur des notes agrables mais phmres.

33cl bottle from Hopduvel, Ghent. A deep reddish brown colour with a billowing beige head that settles back to a thin covering; sour grainy aroma with some caramel in the background; soft and smooth in the mouth with a taste of dates and burnt sugar; then a warming fruity finish, with lingering dates. A pleasant beer to sip slowly.

33cl bottle at home (22 V 2016). Extremely gushing brew, although with a swiftly diminishing foamy yellow to beige, unstable head. The beers colour is pretty dark brown to black, coffee looking even, yet very clear and vivid. The nose has clear Belgian yeast features, with some brown sugar, rosewater and malt notes too. The mouthfeel is more than a that oxidated, not really enjoyable, but the sugarish and malt flavours come to save the brew. Fairly sweet and somehow sticky, with a nice alcoholic body - although I believe this body is a bit faint or waterish. Not that complex, to say at least. The bitter tones are perfect, the slightly creamy ending is more than nice. There are a few fruit flavours in here as well, very well hidden behind the caramellish, sweetish armour. A nice brew - yet it keeps on being a Huyghe brew.
