I drank this on tap at the Hyde Park Brewing Company. This is the best beer that I tasted there and I goth the sampler.
It appears mahogany in color.
It is creamy-smooth with a creamy off-white head. it has an expresso type character.

The appearance was a dark red/brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some roasty coffee beans up front, pretty bold and ended with some earthy hop dryness.
The flavor was dry and roasty through the coffee beans. Super dry coffee aftertaste and finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, maybe a touch under with a decent sessionability about it. Light carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.

This is a fairly simple stout, with dark brown pour and the dark/roast malt components you’d expect. It’s just fine, but there just isn’t a ton here.
On draught at the brewpub. Arrived at the table black with a ring for a head. Very pleasant aroma of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is malt, lightly roasted with a bit of chocolate that is washed by some mild sourness. I’m not sure if its supposed to be there or not, but there is definitely a light sour twang. On tap at the Hyde Park Brewery. Pours a ruby hued black to brown, minimal dark tan head, only from agitation. Nice toast and roast, a bit of caramel. A bit of coffee. Medium bodied, lightly roasty, some more caramel and toffee. Light dry finish, a bit more roast. On Draft at the Brewpub, NY, April 2004: Pitchblack with a little head. Espresso nose. Smooth espresso and chocolate tast. Medium lasting but with a weak aftertaste. Thin body.
