Nice color, almost a watermelon shade of red. They use Munich and Belgian hops in this. Better than most Red Lagers.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a fairly clear amber color. There was no head or lacing. It has a lighter aroma. Mainly caramel malts. Anything else? I couldn’t tell. The taste is a bit malty sweet. No hops to speak of. Not well balanced at all.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours amber with a white head. Smells malty with some vitamin hints. Tasets of sweet malt with some citrusy splashes on the finish.

Not a ton of aroma. Pours ruby red with a thin head. Very pleasant malt taste which seems to suggest licorice without being cloying. Finishes clean. This would make a nice session beer.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 10/2/10

Aroma: The nose had a good amount of spice, a bunch of caramel malts, and a bit of hops
Appearance: This beer pours a clear caramel orange color with a small beige head
Flavor: The taste is also spicy and caramel malts mostly with a bit of bitterness
Palate: It has a somewhat spicy mouthfeel with a lasting tingle on the tongue
Overall Impression: I found this beer to be a decent enough overall. It wasn’t great, but it was good. Something I’d drink again at this place based on what is available here, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

On tap at the Hyde Park Brewery. Pours a hazy orange brown, thin beige head. Very sweet, malty and a bit of citrus and apricot. Sweet, a bit tart, some acidulated malt in there. Grainy. Grainy bitter finish with more weird tart sweetness.

Tap. Clear and red-brown color and complextion. Weak head. Nice round malt flavors, balanced with hopp accents. Nutty, toasty, and nice mellow finish. Enjoyed it.

Had at the bar. Nice fruity aroma but little head or carbonation. The taste was smooth but a bit flat. It did stay on the palate nicely.
