Tap at I & I. Pours a muddy, darker pour. Small foam. No lace. Nose is roasty, coffee heavy. Taste similar. Palate is dry, bitter. Coffee forward but no coconut to be found. No lace. Decent.

The beer pours dark brown in color with a nice tan head. Plenty of roast on the nose, but it’s mildly acidic. A nice dark chocolate and cocoa powder aroma, but not really all that much coconut. Maybe some toffee sweetness. As with the aroma, quite a lot of roast and cocoa on the palate. There is a mild toffee and molasses flavor but again, not really any coconut. Good porter, but would have liked some actual coconut. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Tap at the brewery. Rating #1. This was a real nice beer. Big roasty aroma with a subtle sweetness. Flavor was light roast with a real creamy mouthfeel, almost a lactose thing going on with more sweetness in the finish, again, real nice. (2127)
