3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Initially this seems like a mediocre DIPA but then it sneaks up on you and rewards with a very pleasant taste and good mouth feel. Not the prettiest beer, kind of cloudy but that’s ok with me. Good on ya tri cities.
Draught @ the brewery. Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Nose is sweet malt and hints of fruit and pine notes. Flavour is very malt forward with a light fruity and moderate pine bitter finish. This is very classic old style DIPA. Ferris (17173) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 31, 2017
Draft - Sweet caramel and light hop. Clear gold with a decent white head. Little booze and caramel with a touch of leafy hop. Very old school. Reid (2676) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JAN 9, 2015
22 oz bottle from Grocery Outlet. In Salem OR
$4.59..i know I am taking a big chance with this one as it was out on unrefridgerated shelves and could have been there for quite some time.
I dug and got the bottle way at the back in the dark..Here goes.
Pours a hazy burnt orange/light amber colour with a large frothy dirty white head.
Strong aroma of resiny/piney malts with sweeter caramel type malt.
Taste is OK thankfully..quite balanced but the huge hopiness just goes nuts witht his..
Nice mouth feel thick and creamy with a semi dry finish.
Over all still good and a nice hop centric IIPA> stevoj (5886) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 18, 2014
I also concur that this beet deserves better. Nice pour with thick two finger head and wonderful hoppy nose. Slightly hazy light amber body, initial hops burst of flavor which faces to somewhat metallic finish. Wonderfully smooth for an IIPA. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - DEC 1, 2014
Bottle from the brewpub. Pours a cloudy amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is heavy with a lot of grass on there and seems like it would be fairly sweet. Taste, however, is fairly bitter, but has a crisp clean finish. Decent brew.

Hazy golden color with creamy head. The aroma is fresh, potent, fruity, citrusy, with razor piney resins. Slick body with a very good pale malt background, a bit cereally, lightly sweet; strong bitterness; the hopping provides a massive dose of citrus fruits, oranges, cedar, and then piney resins.
Excellent Imperial IPA, very drinkable.
Great imperial. Full of flavor and aroma. If you are in the tri-cities...try it! jgb9348 (6590) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Crisp copper coloured body with a rich, dense, four centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright piney and very resinous hops, some caramel and yeast, hints of toffee and even some oak scents. Medium to Full-bodied; Dense chewy piney and resinous mouthful with a good malt balance throughout with some rye and specialty grains noticeable. Aftertaste shows a very nice balance of malt and hops, some light herbal and grassy notes and a dry oaky flavour at the end, all of course with a large hop bitterness. Overall, a nicely balanced Imperial IPA that isn’t overly hoppy or showing too much alcohol - this is a smoothish drink which is nice to enjoy the whole bottle! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 11-November-2013 for US$5.49 sampled at home in Washington on 02-February-2014 in celebration of Seattle (I wasn’t cheering for them, but decided to have a beer from Washington state) winning the Superb Owl. bytemesis (9524) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 11, 2013
Bottle with thanks to glkaiser! Pours hazy amber with a medium off-white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is pretty standard fare - pine and caramel. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter with a strong bitter finish. Resinous and in your face harsh. Medium body. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - OCT 17, 2013
7/18/2012. 22 oz. bottle. orange color with a white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, pine, light caramel and flowers. Good hoppy balance throughout. Very refreshing.
