WABL Anniversary party. Strong caramel nose over dark dried hops. Sweet honey body, papery crunch leafy hop finish. Segregated. Beerdrinker79 (2218) - Idaho, USA - DEC 11, 2011
22 oz. bottle, my bottle reads 7.0%- Pours a murky brownish red with an off white to tan one finger head. Aroma is malt, mild hops, spicy. The taste is like a winter warmer with an extra hop kick, another beer that I think is misclassified. Beers that blend genres, how do you pinpoint what they are, this is definitely not an IPA, it reminds me of Grand Teton Bitch Creek ESB, only with more hops, and that beer is Extra Special Brown. There is a definite Brown Ale taste to it, but again with more hops, whatever. Body is moderately light, carbonation is medium to almost low. Overall decent enough. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Nose of floral and piney hops initially, caramel, toasted nuts, and roast. Definitely a winter warmer style as previously mentioned. Murky brown pour, fizzy head that has some staying power. Flavors of roasted and toasted nuts, caramel, dough, earthy bitterness, hints of citrus and pine. Lingering hop presence balances out with doughy medium sweet finish. Spicy lingering hop flavors. Not bad. blutt59 (6579) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 13, 2012
bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, muddy amber color with malty caramel nose, hoppy tangerine and clover flavors earthy malted finish 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Bottle:   Dark brown sugar in color, odd for an IPA, small to moderate frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Moderate hop nose, somewhat assertive tea like leaves, a little ashtray much like a Best Bitter would have.   Pith and peel citrusy start, soft tea leaves, a little tobacco, with that bit of Best Bitter ashiness to follow.   Not real bright, but clean despite the bit of ash.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft citrus bits linger.   Decent enough for a Winter IPA.

Bottle poured a clear redish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, citrus and light pine. Palate was medium bodied anmd smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish. Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 11, 2011
Hazed dark brown pour, thin white head of fine bubbles. Smells caramelly and resinous. Bready, toasty, caramel body with a moderate hop resin bitterness on the finish, some citrus and herbal notes to it. Gets a touch watery somewhere in the middle but starts and finishes rather well. 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2011
same firm malt body and same pungent bright and highly bitter hops, but more of dried orange flesh cereal grains and a touch of medium dark
caramel malt. still pretty enjoyable. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 17, 2013
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) hazy copper with oily offwhite bubbles. Nose of caramel, honey, wort, and rich. Taste of alcohol, bitter orange peel, caramel, bitter linger and a well carbonated beer.
