I used to pound the living daylights outta these in my younger days so for nostalgias sake Ive decide to sample one for a review. After cracking a can and pouring into a pint glass I get an eyefull of this golden nectar. Smells of corn/malt. Taste is sweet with a decent bite. The mouthfeel is very basic beer standard. Goes in goes down. Nothing to get upset over. Overall it was a standard for my roomate in college so I crushed my fair share. I can still see havin a few now. Theres worse beer out there.

Can. Pours a pale straw body with a very short lived fizzy white head. The nose is a mix of creamed corn and subtle cardboard. The flavor isnt all that offensive actually when served at fridge temperature. Is relatively clean and fairly light on the corn flavor. Finishes very watery and thin, but its of short duration. This is actually a little better than expected. The coldness probably helps some, but if drink this over many other pale lagers.

This beer was great at 5.5 ABV but since they raised it to 6.5 its NASTY! They should have left well enough alone because they already have "EDGE" the high alcohol alternative. Besides, not everyone wants to see double after a few bottles.

Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2016 Poured into weizen. Dark yellow and golden color with lively carbonation. Bold yet fairly smooth, frothy head. Corn, has a mild roastiness.

Can. Clear gold with a quickly dissipating white head. Typical malt aroma and sweet corn taste of mega brewer beers. Drinkable but nothing special.

24 ounce can purchased at a local ghetto mart. Amazing sweet, cream corn and DMS presence. Lots of vegetal notes later on. Yikes. Transparent golden body with a medium, relatively strong white head present. Starts with a sweet, corny malt flavor with lots of DMS. Some slippery, buttery diacetyl comes through in the middle and the end. No other flavors. DMS and DIacetyl delight! To be honest, I can handle these flavors, and I have had much worse. This is a great beer to try, if youre wondering what those two off-flavors taste like.

Backlog. Well this is one of low lows. Just watery and not much else going on. Some light grain and grass I guess.

This beer is my 1st Option when going to purchase beer. It is a really good tasting beer and the price is very affordable along with the count! Who can argue with that

Been drinking this since it first came out and it is my go-to beer. Number one all rounder for me hands down and Ive drank hundreds of beers from all over the world and all styles. Its not sweet because it taste like a real beer! Perfect alcohol content; just enough but not too much so that you can enjoy several tall cans. Did I mention this shit cost about $1 per 24oz?! Ya, a great beer that is accessible to all walks of life without the harsh taste and looks from people you get when a similar priced beer is consumed. Although I guess they could class up the appearance of the can/32oz bottle. Maybe wrapping it in gold cellophane would help.
