33 cL bottle. Pours deep reddish towards brown and with a lacing brown head. Earthy and mouldy aroma. Flavour is cane-sugarish sweet and with a mild malt note. Finish is somewhat short and not thrilling but still good. Ungstrup (38587) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 14, 2004

Bottled (my Belgian rating #700). Deep reddish brown colour with brown foamy head. Aroma is fruits, earth and some acidic notes. Flavour is really sour malts, fruity hops and licorace. Quite pleasant and wellbalanced brew. Could be a bit more sour. Travlr (26210) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 7, 2010

Dark maroon and brown with a big fluffy white head that settles slowly to leave a delicate lacing.
Aroma of dark fruit and roasted malts.
Flavors of light smoke and toffee with sourness from the middle to the finish.
Decent enough body.
Good example of the style, pleasant and drinkable.

10th May 2008. A brown beer that reminds of Duchesse Du Bourgogne but is much less sour and really quite sweet. Soft mid finish with a hint of sweet coca cola. Papsoe (25055) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2005
(Bottle 25 cl) Reddish brown with a small, beige head. Lightly vinegary almost rotten aromas. Typical and very pronounced metallic flavours. But unlike most sour ales this has more sweet than sour. And even some bitter hops in the finish. Not bad, but not very typical for it’s style. 050398
