COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve milled, mashed, brewed and fermented a bit of our local logging history and crafted a Lager that offers up a hint of our home. Like the surrounding Northwest forests these brave folks call home, this beer is complex in its subtleties. From a slightly sweet malty profile to a low Noble-hop aroma, our Lager combines local ingredients and local inspiration, which results in a beer that’s a cut above the rest. Bottle from Safeway. Why call it a pils when your description says lager? Tastes like. [email protected]#$ing lager. Grains out the wazoo. Hops? Where? Grainy, bready lager. Not a pils.

Bomber from work. Aroma is herbal hoppy, grain. Pours clear pale golden with a collapsing white head. Taste is fairly bitter with light sweet malt character alongside; lots of herbal hop flavor; bitterness lingers long after the swallow. Crisp and clean, like it should be. Not as good as the best craft pilsners, but it’s not bad.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out corn, straw, light grass and biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly crisp, with grass, straw and crisp crackery malt. Nice, crisp pilsner, with a decent bite. Solid stuff.

Tap at joshs. Pkurs a crystal clear medium gold with a thin white head. Mild corny grassy nose. Creamy light body with soft carb. Corny grassy mid palate. Long slightly vegetal finish.

Draft. Golden beer with a cream head. Malt and light spice aroma. Light spice and malt flavor with light breadiness. Medium bodied. Light spice, and malt linger with light mineral notes.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2016 Draft pour punt at the brewery. Pours a light clear golden color with almost no head. Straw like, mild aroma. Flavor is rediculously corny, and straw like. Too much for my liking. Less refreshing than a pils of my usual taste. Less than good for me. UPDATE: I enjoyed this more in Michelada form

Bomber. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big grassy husky nose. The flavor is sweet toasted malt, honey and corn. Hmm. A bit of sulphur. Not great.

Tap at the brewery.

A: Very clear straw, no bubbles floating inside, thin white head.

N: Grist, pine, earth, some green apple, coriander, skunk, minerality, and corn.

T: Very sweet, lightly bitter. Clean, but too much malt.

M: Light body, alcohol presence, crisp carbonation.

O: Decent pils. The nose strikes me OK, but it really could use a lot of cleaning up in the finish and the balance.

About as pale yellow as it can get and nearly no head. Aroma is very grassy and slightly sweet. Ultra thin. Flavor starts with the grassy hops and moves to faint sweetness before going grassy bitter in the finish. Nothing wrong with it but not much going on in any aspect, though this could be a great thirst quencher in the summer.

Draft - Lots of grain and a touch of skunk. Clear gold with a white head. Skunky grains and a clean finish. Not bad.
