Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains with a lot of roasted malts and a touch of bitterness. Flavor has notes of dark grains and bread with roasted malts underlying. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 26, 2015

Black color with compact head. It’s a roasty Stout, rather dry, with a good American hopping.
Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Probably my favorite beer I had here. Pours a near black color with no head on it. Nose is roasty and reminds me a bit of coffee. Taste has coffee in there as well, with a bit of roasty bitterness to it. Smooth and yummy. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Nice roasty nose, dark chocolate, a little earthy, lightly sweet. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Flavors of raosted malts, a little caramel, dark chocolate, and a dry earthy finish. NMedium bodied lingering dry finish. Nice house porter. braznadian (59) - Washington, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Had at Icicle Brewing Co. in Leavenworth, WA. Nice dark chocolate brown with a creamy tan head. Smell of dark chocolate and espresso. Smooth body leads to roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavors. Ends with a subtle sourness at finish. Hard to explain. Not sure if it was intended or not. Pretty average bitterness. This is a solid porter though not a game changer. Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and hops. Medium-bodied with a roasty character of coffee plus some chocolate malt and hops. The finish is malty with a mild coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.
