Filled a growler at source, gifted from good friends Ruby and Emily. Appearance is a clear dark brown color with an average fizzy tan head. Aroma is moderate to heavy toasted earthy malt aroma. Taste is heavy roast with dark bittersweet flavors, bitter finish. Palate is smooth texture and soft carbonation. Overall, nice beer, try it! can8ianben (1583) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2015
My least favorite but still a nice dark hopped up beverage that is tasty. Dark brown color. Patrickctenchi (6750) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - SEP 2, 2014

Hazy, dark brown with a creamy, tan head.
Light coffee/chocolate malt flavour.....
Nicely done...IPA in aroma and Porter in taste...
More of a difference in the two senses than many BIPA’s...
tap on 4/26/14 - The aroma is of citrus and dark roast malt. It’s a full bodied brew with a surprisingly subdued roast character that’s balanced nicely with the citrusy hops. Interesting and very good. ChiGuy68 (621) - Illinois, USA - APR 16, 2014
Tasted on tap at iechyd Da Brewing. It poured a deep reddish brown with minimal carbonation. Toasted malt aroma and taste with a Nicely bitter finish.

Draft sample. Poured clear dark brown color with an average fizzy tan head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted earthy malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy toasted dark bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is also a very good beer. shrubber85 (11670) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Draft. Orange-tangerine and light malt aroma. Black-brown with small head. Sweet creamy chocolate/caramel malt and moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Nice blending. Excellent. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 18, 2012
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was og black malts and hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of black malt, roasted malt and mild hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Tap at Brewhaven. Piney grapefruit hops and roasty malt aroma. Dark brown with a small tan head. Piney grapefruit hops, toasty caramel malt, and dark fruity flavor. Medium body, low carbonation. Nice malt/hop balance. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Sampler and then a pint because this was the star of the show for me. Pitch black pour with a frothy, fluffy khaki head. Nose of deep pine with roasted barley, some mango and citrus notes. Taste is richly sweet, yet pronounced bitterness throughout. Palate is fuller bodied, medium carb with a strong, lengthy finish. This is one hell of an awesome brew and stacks up well to some of the other local black IPA options I’ve had. A nice treat and I hope they keep this in the regular rotation. Thanks to Iechyd Da for an awesome night of good food and great beer.
