3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured a clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.
Draft. Cloudy amber body with an off-white, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, herbal hops, toasted grain and biscuit. Hint of alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/creamy texture, lively carbonation. More bitter than English IPAs, but still good balance between the sweet malts and bittering hops. Clean mouthfeel, clean malts. Tastes of orange citrus, caramel with hints of herbal hops. Nicely done. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - SEP 1, 2012

Tap at brewery... hum 6.66 % ABV, quite evil Summer and Chip :-) Deep golden hue with a solid frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of biscuit and aromatic malt, grassy and herbal hops, earthy classic English styled yeast esters with a touch of honey and clove. The taste is wonderfully balanced with constant bitterness and mild sweet malts. A hint of hop spice, apple like fruitiness and mineral influences. The mouth feel is lively but restrained carbonation, crisp and highly refreshing. This is very nice, spot on to what an English styled IPA can be fresh. Do this again and again!

On tap at Iechyd Da. Deep, deep amber-red pour with a nice fluffy off white head that descends and leaves some lacing. Nose is sweet caramel, plums, fresh citrus, and some earthy herbal qualities. Taste is pretty sweet, but plenty bitter. Palate is smooth, rich but not too heavy, with a lingering bitterness. This is seriously a knock out beer. Sometimes when you see English IPA, you think muted, too malty, and just not as exciting as American IPAs, but this is great, and another reason for me to be proud of my new hometown brewery. Lots of character, yet very drinkable. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.
