330ml bottle served chilled. Poured into a half pint Ayingerbrau lager glass Bright clear gold with a proud white head. Hay aroma with floral hints. Cereal and lemon flavour. If I fetched up somewhere on holiday in the Med, and the local brew tasted like this, I would be quite happy. Crisp clean refreshing and functional as you’d expect from IKEA. Notice how I managed to avoid a yawn-inducing joke about putting it together myself when I got home. caesar (7286) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - FEB 11, 2016
Bottle from local IKEA, BB 18 10 2016, large sample. Clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of grainy malt, bit spicy hop, quite typical german classic pils with slight skunky and bit herbal notes. Soft to medium bitter in taste, some extra malty sweetness not usually found in pale lagers. Which makes it quite full bodied. Pretty good for what I expected actually. Bottle of 330 ml, bought at IKEA, Duiven. It must be relatively new, at least here, since they were not there last year and they’re still not listed on their website.
First of all, this is an actual beer, as in the final product, and not a beer kit containing water, malts, hops and instructions on how to make it yourself (get it? because it’s from IKEA, and that’s what you do with everything else bought from there, haha, hilarious)
Ok, this is a lager, poured into a lager glass it gave me a golden yellow coloured beer, with two fingers of white, soapy head, with very good retention. Lots of activity in the glass that seems that it never stops.
Aroma is quite strong, aromatic hops as with every other lager, with some malts on the background.
Taste is also typical lager one, quite sweet at first, with a long bitter aftertaste. Much better than I expected.
Medium to full body with high carbonation.
Well, I didn’t expect it to be that good. It won’t blow your mind but it’s an honest lager, plus now I have a reason to join my girlfriend on her visits there.

Bottle from Cov split with Octo and Keith, 24/0/13. Pale, fine-haloed gold. Fresh mown grass, lemon, honey on toast aroma. Creamy malt, hints of wine gum fruit; grass and herb. Decent lager with German, possibly kolsch-like leanings. Not going to slag it off just because it’s from

Bottle, from IKEA Leeds. Gold, long lasting white head and good condition. Pleasant sweet maltiness and a hint of flowery hops in the nose, gentle fruitiness in the mouth, pleasantly soft and with a nicely balanced hop note, genle chalky bitterness lingering in the finish
