A transparant, but very dark ruby-colored beer, with a firm layer of brown foam. It has a sweet aroma of caramel-malt and alcohol. The taste is quite bitter, but unfortunately also a bit "watery". A slightly bitter aftertaste remains for a while. Een licht bittere nasmaak blijft even hangen.

Like their furniture it is not bad at all but also not interesting for those who want more than just affordable, clever, basic and without aparent flaws. Refreshing, some malts, not too sweet, light bodied and very boring. It leaves me completely indifferent which is probably it’s biggest flaw.

From the bottle, pours dark Mahagoni colored with off white head. Nose is... well not much at all maybe some rosted malts and some metallic notes. Taste is suprisingly good. Some nuts and dryed fruits, some liqurice and of course rosted malts. Malty aftertaste. Not as Bad as suspected...

Thick, light-beige head, collapsing over clear chestnut-coloured beer; lacerings. Quite sweet /bit bready nose, breadcrust, liquorice. Bitter-ish, human sweat, bit (dark) bready again. Finish has something of a totally watered-down sweet liqueur. Light, sligtly slick. Good carbonation. Utterly dull.

Bottle. Clear dark brown color with small white head. Aroma - Roasted malts, caramel, bread. Taste - Sweet, roasted, hops, caramel.

Brown-reddish in color. Malty aroma with some roasty notes. Taste is malty as well. No hops in aroma or taste. Medium bodied, sweet, caramel, some fruits. Pretty similar to light version (just colored?). Not that bad though.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

04/09/2015 33cl bottle @IKEA Ghent. Clear brown colour, small dissipating head. Aroma : dark malts, light caramel. Taste : roasted malts (more than usually with this kind of beer), light caramel, hops, very small amount of sweetness. Hard to say it but not that bad for this kind of beer, especially because it is more roasted than most of them and it was not that sweet. Probably the cheapest country tick I will ever have.

330ml dark bottle, filtered, from Ikea, Southampton. Saw it and thought I would grab it as it’s very rare I visit Ikea. I really didn’t expect it to be any good (it’s from Ikea after all, do they do ANYTHING any good?), and sure enough it’s pretty crap. Soapy with refrigerator ice aroma and flavour. Not sure what it’’s made from. It’s fairly odd tasting and vaguely unpleasant. To be fair I did finish the bottle, but I wouldn’t like another one. Ever again.
