Good malty, lightly roasted dark malt aroma and flavor. Good bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. A really good obscurity to the food. The beer looks quite nice. The beer has a beautiful color, cherry red with a little touch of brown. The beer is quite clear, you can look trough it quite clearly. The beer doesn’t look to fizzle, only a few small bubbles are rising to the top. The beer pours a thick head of rough fuzzy foam. The bulk collapse quickly, but a thin drape remains to cover the beer. The smell of the beer is nice. It reminds me of bock beer. The smell has cherry, a little roast, some barley. The smell is both sweet and bitter, quite nice. The aroma’s could have been a little stronger. The taste is a little les than the smell. The taste is a little bitter and has a metallic flavor. The sweetness of the smell fades towards the background in the smell. That is a pity. The sweetness could have been a little bit stronger in the smell. Than it would be great. But keep in mind that this beer is made by a furniture manufacturer. This makes the beer a lot better. jamesie1857 (1975) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2012
330ml bottle - a deep ruby pour, thin white head, a nice caramel nose. A decent creamy and oily mouth feel, a malty taste. At £1.79 you can’t complain. Mr_Hensen (53) - ’s Gravenmoer, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2013
Prima biertje. Aroma is goed, klein tikje koffie, chocolade, gebrand mout. Smaak valt erg tegen, Waterig.

Bottle. Pours a dark red body, with a light brown golden head that stays until I finish my glass. Very godd roasty, caramel and malty aroma, the same taste, also thin to medium body, thim to medium carbonation, oily texture. Why it has to be caramel-colored, really? Other than that, it’s a unexpectedly good beer, and I would drink it again anytime. invinoveritas (156) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2016
Pours mahogany with a fair but short-lived head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Burnt caramel on the tongue, with the initial sweetness fading into a really quite bitter aftertaste. This is pretty good, though a bit watery and highly carbonated! wilde_joost59 (253) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 26, 2017
Bottle at home, bought at Ikea Haarlem. Not bad at all. I suppose when this beer was not from Ikea (and it wasn't on the label) the ratings would be much higher. Deep red, brown color, beige thin head. Taste okay for the abv. Nice. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2013
Bottled 17/08/13. A cola black coloured beer with a disappearing whitish head. A decent sweetish lager. Caramel notes. Bready malts. A bit of chocolate in the mouth. A decent dunkel.
