Assomiglia più a un barleywine rispetto che a una belgian strong ale. Davvero molto buona, con un gusto fruttato, di bacche e prugna, leggermente amaro e anche leggermento torbato sul finale. Pregevole. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2012

Cloudy amber - chocolate coloured beer. Frothy tan head. Lightly sour nose. Light palate, fairly dry. Nice take on the Belgian style. Mildly sour cherry and other fruits embedded on light coco-chocolate. Finishes light, soft and semi dry.
Sampled as Claustrum/Ottavonano Nadir Toweringly huge yellowish head, very persistent over hazy red-brown beer. Slightly vinous, maltcookies, dried prunes, cacaopowder. Taste with wood, chocolate/cacao and again vinous. Alcohol detectable. Retronasal more chocolate-covered (dark) fruit. Alcoholwarming; rich, velvety MF despite the lively carbonation. This is again a very good try by Il Chiostro/Claustrum. In this flavourprofile they perform pretty well. Mille grazie, Gianluca! chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2011
From bottle at GBBF, Day 2, August 2009. Dark reddish brown. Slightly woody aroma. Lots of prunish fruit and more woody notes with some herbal bitterness. As is often the case with Italian beers, this seemed a little odd but ended up quite appealing.

A clear dark amber colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of hop bitters with sweet fruits. The taste of bitters of hop, with fruits like raisins. The aftertaste is a bit burny , alcohol and there are fruits.

Fruity and slightly spicy aroma. Amber coloured very strong in alcohol and a little hazy in appearance. A little bitterness in a crisp malt finish. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2009
Slightly hazy red amber with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma with some molasses, and a hint of banana. Sweet and fruity flavour with some alcohol, herbal notes and some licorice MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2009
A Mes rate. Bottle at GBBF.harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2009
Chestnut brown with a faint off white collar. Raw alcohol and tippex thinner. Faint spice and chewy fruit but it’s just all killed to death by the raw booze. Not good.
At GBBF 2009. Cloudy dark brown colour, beige head. Way too strong, a bit all over the place. Better when it had opened up a bit but still not great. Spicy finish
