2l glass bottle (on a pic). Very very malty aroma, the taste is awesome.. I don’t know, hops are outgunned by malt. Color is almost orange, head is rocky. While in aftertaste u expect strong bitterness.. but it never comes out, very gentle, easy to drink. Must say, this was my first Marzen beer. FatPhil (16893) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 13, 2010
2l clear glass fliptop bottle (Ilgezeem Market Stall, Riga)
5 Usual sweet mellow bread-and-buttery baltic unfiltered lager aroma.
2 Mid orange, practically flat. As this is a fresh beer never designed to be stored, not docking my customary 1 point for being in a clear bottle.
5 Certainly got beer ingredients in it, but this isn’t quite right. Retronasals quite herby, a little earthy. Taste has quite grassy brackeny hops, but malts are a bit sweet and husky, and not full enough to support the hops, so comes over as a bit of a mess.
2 Watery and mostly flat. Not in good shape. Same BB as the Tumsais (17th, today is the 13th (probably be 14th by the time I finish the bottle!)), but that was alive, and this is dead. Finish both earth and liver.
8 Clearly not at its best, and as the dunkles was very tasty, I ought to give this another chance. Alas, being in a 2L bottle, I don’t think I’ll realistically have that chance.
