Towey1989 (2699) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2015
Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of pale malts, cereal, orange, some herbal tea and slight floral hops. Taste is quite herbal of orange, grassy, floral hops, subtle caramel and cereal. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, grainy finish with subtle floral hop bitterness. Quite different this. Herbal, grassy, floral hops flavours mixed with cereal and caramel malts. Good body but not sure.

On cask at Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage. Pours golden with white head. Smooth palate, some dryness from the hops used. Well constructed golden session.

10th November 2014
Craft near Tottenham Court Road. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, untidy white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Very light pale malts, whisper of grain. Floral bitterness and very light citrus. Dry finish. Disappointing, I would have thought Ilkley were capable of a better Golden than this barely passable affair.
