India Pale Ales were made for transport overseas and are strong in alcohol and strongly hopped. Our golden coloured Lotus IPA is both of these and more with summit hops from New Zealand and cascade hops from America giving strong aromas and flavours of mango, grapefruit and all round citrus.

Hmm..im wondering if i had a dodgy bottle looking at the past scoring!! anyway, bottle from Cotteridge wines. Pours a nice deep gold with soft white head. No real aroma, quite weak.If anything quite grassy. Taste is very light, medium bitterness. The hops are not standing out here at all. was waiting for that tropical, citrus hit you assocciate with Summit & Cascade hops but its not happening here. This is a very standard UK beer not the international style IPA i was expecting.

Can I reckon. Hazy golden body, white head. Huh, sadly, this was a bit oxidized, caramelly maltiness was the only thing in the aroma. Sweetish malty taste, with some very light orangey hops. Okay. To be rerated fresh at some point.

Tap. Pours light copper with white lace. Aroma has caramel malts and citric hops. Taste medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied slick feel soft carbonation and bitter finish. It won me over with a drop of butterscotch.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2017 Can online. Cloudy amber with a frothy, bubbly head. Aroma is fresh and fruity. Taste is light with citrus fruit, bitter with pine and a feint hint of chocolate. A perfectly drinkable IPA.

Can from Marks and Spencer, Metrocentre, Gateshead. Hazy golden coloured with a very thin head. It has tropical fruit flavours and a malty, biscuit and zesty tropical fruity finish. Very good.

Mjp12 (2070) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2017
Sweet fruit , and a hint of malt on the aroma . Quite a thick mouthfeel , citrus flavours, then a bitter hop finish .
